Direct Drive Linear Motor SDLM-019-095-01-01

The SDLM-019-095-01-01 actuator features a continuous force of 6.8 oz (1.9 N) and a peak force of 21.6 oz (6.0 N).  A precision linear quadrature encoder is integrated and protected inside the actuator housing. It is directly connected to the non-rotating shaft to eliminate backlash for highest possible stability in a servo loop.  Additionally, the SDLM -019-095-01-01 can operate at peak efficiency by monitoring the inside temperature from an internal temperature sensor resulting in greater throughputs.

This patented actuator features zero cogging, high acceleration, high speed, high resolution, long life. These actuators is just 3.750 in (95.3 mm) long and the total length including the shaft is 5.500 in (139.7mm). The stroke is 1.0 inch (25.4 mm) compact 0.750 in. (19.1 mm) diameter series of linear actuators.

 

As do all in the SDLM Series of actuators, this non-commutated direct drive servo actuators features: Quiet long life, plain linear bearings, smooth linear motion over its entire range, and an integrated internal 1.25 micron resolution (0.000049 in.) quadrature encoder with differential outputs for improved noise immunity.

 

Applications of this actuator include: cost effective replacement for pneumatic actuators, manufacturing (assembly and inspection equipment), sorting and packaging, semiconductor handling, medical devices, procedure tables and instruments, antenna positioning, dampers, door & valve actuators, agricultural equipment, shaking, and adjustable office furniture.

Direct coupling to the load or stage to the low inertia non-rotating shaft eliminates backlash and allows for high acceleration/deceleration.  Each end of the actuator housing has two 6-32 UNF-2B threaded mounting holes on a 0.500 in. (12.7 mm) bolt circle and the 0.125 in. (3.2 mm) shaft has a 2-56 UNC-2B  threaded hole on each end for easy integration into new and existing applications.
