Linear Voice Coil Motor with Internal Bearing

The GVCM-025-022-01 Linear Voice Coil Servo Motor with a 0.375 inch (9.5 mm) stroke features: high reliability, high speed, zero cogging, low inertia, high acceleration/deceleration, and when used in a servo loop, very high accuracy and repeatability.

This miniature Linear Voice Coil Motor (also called Moving Coil Motor, Linear Actuator, and Electric Cylinder) is just 1.000 in. (25.4 mm) in diameter and yet it has a high force-to-size ratio of 16.9 oz. (4.7 N) continuous force and 53.5 oz. (14.9 N) of peak force at 10% duty cycle.

A 2-56 UNC-2A threaded 0.094 in. diameter shaft and two 6-32 UNC-2B mounting holes on 0.500 in. (12.7 mm) bolt circles on each end of the motor allow for easy integration into new and existing applications and zero backlash connection to the load.

 

The overall length of this compact linear actuator is 1.781 in. (45.3 mm) long and the shaft in the extended position extends 0.656 in. (15.1 mm) beyond the housing. The shaft guided by a plain bushing tolerates a side load up to 7.2 oz. (2.0 N)
